Elecforce Ltd is now on the Electrical Safety Register

The Electrical Safety Register has been created by the leading organisations dedicated to the electrical contracting industry and electrical safety, the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and the Electrical Safety Council (ESC).More.

Rectification Work

Any minor defects which become apparent during testing and inspection can often be rectified quickly and effectively during the site visit by our highly trained and experienced Engineers.  Occasionally, more serious defects arise and these can be dealt with on a return visit.

Each report is given to the client along with recommendations for any rectification work that may be required.  A quotation for the rectification work will be provided and once it is approved, the work will be carried out quickly and efficiently.

All defects fall into a category C1, C2, C3 or FI (further investigation).  These are defined as follows:

  • Code C1 (danger present):  Where an observation has been given a Classification code C1, the safety of those using the installation is at risk and immediate remedial action is required.

  • Code C2 (potentially dangerous):  Classification C2 indicates that, whilst those using the installation may not be at immediate risk, urgent remedial action is required to removed potential danger.

  • Code C3 (improvement recommended):  Where an observation has been given a Classification code C3, the inspection and/or testing has revealved a non-compliance with the current safety standard which, whilst not presenting immediate or potential danger, would result in a significant safety improvement if remedied.  Careful consideration should be given to the safety benefits of improving these aspects of the installation.

  • FI (Requires further information):  If the inspector has indicated that an observation requires further investigation, the person ordering this report is advised to arrange for the NICEIC Approved Contractor issuing the report (or another competant person) to undertake further examination of that aspect of the installation as amatter of urgency, to determine whether or not danger or potential danger exists.
